A fertiliser or broadcast spreader comes in many sizes. Some can be attached to walking tractors, sit on the back of ATV's but mainly they are used for agricultural businesses and are pulled behind or chassis mounted to a tractor and can spread widths of up to 90feet. The basis operating concept of broadcast spreads is simple. A large material hopper is postioned over a horizontal spinning disk, the disk has a series of 3 or 4 fins attached to it which throw the dropped materials from the hopper out and away from the seeder/spreader. Alternately a pendulum spreading mechanism may be employed, this method is more common in mid sized commercial spreaders for improved consistency in spreading. Our main supplier of fertilisers is Kverneland and as you can see below there is a wide range to choose from, so if you need help with the various options than why not give us a call. If you need just a small ATV mounted spreader for small paddocks/fields etc then we also do the Logic machine.
