Major Grass Slasher
The grass slasher is a single rotor machine ideally suited for cutting rough pastures, forestry ridges, grass verges, heathland, rushes and heather.
The blade system is capable of tackling material of up to 30mm in diameter. Each machine is fitted with two heavy duty swining blades fitted to a compund balde beam. Protection is given to the tractor by using a shear-bolt in the PTO shaft. The cutting height is set by adjusting the two side skids. The skids have wide runners preventing damage to the ground.
This Topper is supplied with Cat 1 & 11 linkage pins as standard to allow the machine to be used on all tractor models and has stone guards at the front and rear for increased public and operator safety.
The Major Shredder is a strong, rugged and robust machine, designed more for use in set-aside, forestry margin management. This machine easily copes with the toughest of conditions including shrub, gorse and as well as clearance of arable stibble. It is available in two working widths- 2m and 3m.
The body of this machine is manufactured from optimum 650 high yield steel. The combination of swinging blades, under sole anti-scalping disc and a heavy duty rear roller allows fully mulched material to be evenly distributed over the full width of the cut as well as providing protection for the gearboxes and drive system.
The optional "Bullet" blades are designed for arable, maize, rape seed and shrub clearing. It can be front or rear tractor mounted and has protective chains at the front and a rear roller to prevent debris from escaping. An external double skin 3mm panel protects the machine from stone damage.
